What Goes Wrong

No Picture Or Signal

Console powers on but the TV stays black. Usually the port itself after a cable was knocked — it's soldered straight to the mainboard, so one cracked joint kills it.

Dead, No Light

No fan and no light at all points at the internal supply. We test it under load rather than swapping parts to find out.

Running Hot, Fan Roaring

Dubai dust and ambient heat push a PS5 to the edge of its thermal envelope. Full strip-down, liquid metal checked, fan cleaned or replaced.

Discs Won't Load

Laser and gear assemblies replaced individually. Worth knowing: the PS5 drive is paired to the mainboard, so a donor drive won't work.

Storage Full, SSD Upgrade

Pairing Faults

Sticks Moving Alone

Recalibration never holds, because drift is physical wear inside the stick module. We replace it, or fit Hall-effect modules that use magnets and have no contact surface to wear out.

Won't Charge Or Stay Connected

A USB-C port that only charges at a certain angle has taken a knock. We replace the port and check the pads beneath it, so the repair holds instead of failing again a month later.

Dying Battery

A pad that lasts an hour has a worn cell rather than a charging fault. Replacement restores full runtime, and we test it on the bench before it goes back to you.

PS5 Questions Answered

Can I wait at the workshop while you repair my PS5?

For most jobs, yes. HDMI port replacement, a full thermal service, disc drive laser and gear work, port repairs and controller stick modules are all done at the Deira bench while you wait. Board-level work on the HDMI encoder or the power section we book in and call you about, because it needs longer under the microscope.

Will a disc drive from another PS5 work?

No, and this catches people out. The PS5's disc drive is paired to the mainboard, so a drive lifted from another console will not simply work in yours. That pairing is why a straight drive swap from a general repair shop often ends with a console that reads nothing at all.

Why does my PS5 overheat in Dubai?

Fine dust gets through the intakes year-round here, and ambient temperatures mean a console that would be fine elsewhere runs at the edge of its limits. Symptoms escalate predictably: louder fan, then throttling, then shutdowns.

My PS5 was opened by another shop. Still fixable?

Usually, yes. Consoles opened previously are routine for us, particularly PS5s where liquid metal was disturbed and reapplied badly — that's a specific and recoverable problem. Tell us what was done before so we check that work first.

How much will a PS5 repair cost me in Dubai?

Do you collect from anywhere in Dubai, or only Deira?

Anywhere in Dubai, free of charge. Marina, JLT, JVC, Downtown, Business Bay, Silicon Oasis, Mirdif, Al Barsha, Motor City and the rest — we collect from your home or office at a time that suits and deliver it back once it's tested.

Will an SSD upgrade wipe my games?

No. The M.2 drive goes into the expansion bay alongside your existing storage, so nothing is replaced and nothing needs reinstalling. The console formats the new drive and you simply gain the capacity.

Is stick drift really not fixable by recalibrating?

Not permanently. Drift is mechanical wear inside the stick module, so recalibration and contact cleaner buy you a few weeks at best before it comes back. Replacing the module fixes it properly, and Hall-effect modules go a step further by removing the wearing contact surface altogether.

What happens if you can't fix it, or I decide not to go ahead?

You pay nothing at all. The diagnosis is free and carries no obligation — if the repair isn't possible or isn't worth doing, we'll tell you straight and return the console exactly as it came to us.

Do you work on the PS5 Pro and Slim too?

All three, though parts aren't interchangeable between them. The Slim's cooling assembly and drive mechanism are their own design and the Pro's board layout differs again, so tell us which model you have when you book, or send a photo of the sticker on the back.
