Not clicking, or clicking without registering. Often a swollen battery pressing on it from underneath.

Possible on Intel models with a removable drive. On M1 and later the storage is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded — we will tell you which yours is.

Fans at full speed doing nothing useful. Dubai dust clogs the exhaust fins fast.

Problems After A macOS Update

Machines that slowed dramatically, stopped waking properly or lost Wi-Fi and Bluetooth after an update. Some of it genuinely is software, and where it is we say so — but an ageing drive or a battery at the end of its life will surface for the first time during an update and get blamed on it.

MacBook Air

Batteries, screens and liquid damage. The M-series Airs are fanless, so heat shows up as throttling rather than noise.
There is a real dividing line in MacBook repair, and it runs between Intel and Apple Silicon. On Intel machines storage is often a module you can replace and upgrade. On M1 and everything after it, the storage is soldered directly to the logic board, so an upgrade is simply not possible however much you are willing to pay — and any shop offering you one is either mistaken or selling you something else. The same shift makes board-level skill matter more, because more of the machine is now one part.

Which MacBooks do you work on?

Where exactly are you in Dubai?

One workshop, in Deira — Bin Thani Building, Murshid Bazar. Or we collect free from anywhere in Dubai if coming in is awkward for you.

Why do MacBook screens cost so much?

The display is a bonded assembly rather than a panel you unclip, so the whole lid usually goes. It is the single dearest common repair on these machines.

Can you do it the same day?

Batteries, keyboards and ports usually, once we have the part. Board-level repairs we book in, because they need proper testing afterwards.

My battery has swollen and lifted the trackpad.

Stop using it and bring it in. A swollen cell will keep expanding, and it is pressing on the trackpad and case from underneath — this one is genuinely urgent rather than something to leave.

Can you save a MacBook that had liquid spilled on it?

Often, and the odds depend almost entirely on how fast it arrives. Do not charge it and do not keep trying to start it. We will be honest about the chances before starting.

How long will a Pro repair take?

Straightforward work is same-day once the part is here. Board-level repair takes longer because diagnosis under the microscope is the slow part, and rushing it is how shops replace the wrong thing.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Every repair carries 90 days on parts and labour. Keep the invoice, and if the fault returns inside that window bring it back.

Apple quoted me for a whole new logic board.

That is often the only option Apple offers, but it is rarely the only option that exists. A board with one failed component can usually be repaired at that component rather than replaced entirely.

Can I upgrade the SSD in my MacBook?

Only on Intel models with a removable drive. From the M1 onwards the storage is soldered to the logic board, so it cannot be upgraded at any price — an external drive is the only route on those.
